Guppy Grass is a hardy, versatile aquarium plant supplied as an approx. 10g portion, grown in the UK and shipped fresh. It can be kept floating at the surface or grown submerged, making it suitable for a wide range of tropical and coldwater aquariums. Low maintenance and easy to grow, it does not require CO₂ injection and is safe for guppies, shrimp, fry, and peaceful community fish.
Its dense, trailing growth creates valuable cover for baby fish and shy species, while also helping to absorb excess nutrients from the water. The fine foliage supports the growth of natural biofilm, providing an additional grazing surface for shrimp. For best results, keep under moderate to bright light with water temperatures of 20–30°C and a pH of 6.0–8.0. Occasional fertiliser can be used to boost growth, though it is not essential.
These are live aquatic plants. While we take every precaution to ship healthy, pathogen-free plants, we cannot guarantee the health of any existing animals in your pond or aquarium. Buyers are responsible for quarantining and introducing plants safely. Some plants may appear slightly distorted or roots may become detached when received due to packaging, however the plants will return to normal in time after introduction to your pond or aquarium.
